WHAT: Little Italy Days
WHEN: August 16 — 19
Why You Should Go:
Experience “la dolce vita” at one of the East Coast’s largest Italian festivals.
Rolling out four days of fun that’s 10 football fields long, this grandmother of all Burgh street fairs returns to the heart of Pittsburgh’s Little Italy neighborhood.
Watch bocce tournaments, pizza stretching demonstrations and pasta eating contests and savor some of the scrumptious foods that give Italian cuisine its legendary reputation.
Three outdoor stages within an expanded footprint will showcase 30 musical and entertainment acts, including opera singers Marco Fiorante and John Lupone, La Sorelle Di Bacco and Wacky Shack.
The free celebration of all things Italian also features an iconic parade, Miss Little Italy pageant and even an Italian Idol competition.
