7 – 10 p.m.

This summer, Market Square is the place to be for Pittsburgh’s youngest makers, movers and doers.

From planting trees to seeing how cartoons are made to dancing with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, find out why Downtown Pittsburgh is a terrific spot for families.

Hosted by Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, KidsPlay takes place every Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. through August 28, and every Saturday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. through August 25.

Children and their families and caregivers are invited to learn, play and create all summer long with an expanded lineup of free activities, craft projects, storytelling programs and special guests.

Kicking off Tuesday, June 12, KidsPlay welcomes circus artist O’Ryan the Amazing, who will dazzle kids with his exceptional juggling, stilt-walking and magic talents. The event will also feature fun activities led by the Mattress Factory, Heinz History Center and Pittsburgh Playful Collaborative.

On Saturday, June 16, kids can draw caricatures, conduct experiments with Citizens Science Lab and enjoy live music by Cool Vibrations and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
