  Description:    The website is not working, and the facebook listing has not been updated, so I am unsure about the status for 2009. For outdoor fun on a rural farm, Borsius Farm features a 1 mile walk through the woods. Along the way, you will encounter a Pirate ship, a haunted cemetery & fountain, maze tunnels and a spider's lair. Also featured are Beatle Juice and the "Trauma Center" haunted maze. 2009 would be it's 8th year, and this attraction keeps things fresh by changing some things up each year.

  Description:    Haunted Hills Hayride and the Valley of Darkness will be in its 10th year in 2009, located 1/2 mile north of the intersection of Routes 30 & 48. This has not yet been confirmed for 2009. The hayride travels though the woods to a castle as well as a western village with all sorts of villagers there to greet you.   Description:    As of yet, no mention if they are having these this year. They do not appear on the website. In previous years, you could enjoy the season on the water with the Halloween Fun Cruise. It was geared more for kids: various monsters were on board and kids would wear their costumes. In years past, this was called the "Halloween Monster Party Cruise". Note that the "Boo Cruise" appears to have been eliminated last year as well - this was an evening event geared for adults, and often featured Pittsburgh's own Donnie Iris.

  Description:    This is a different kind of attraction, but great for those intrested in history and supposedly true ghost stories! Get a glimpse into the supernatural world of the Victorian-era neighborhood of Manchester, located in Pittsburgh's historic Northside. Times and dates not yet posted for 2009, but in previous years tours left every 15 minutes from the Conroy School area located on Page Street (last tour departed 8:45 on Friday and 7:45 on Saturday).

It's location is the same in South Park as the former "Phantom's In the Park", at the old Sully's Pool on Hundred Acres Drive. This attraction has expanded and has new attractions this year, featuring "Massacre Mansion", "South Valley Hospital", "The Graveyard Circus" and "Hillhaven Penitentiary". Last year, costumed guides and storytellers lead participants on a candlelight walk through the streets of Monongahela, relaying supposedly true paranormal accounts of the local area.   Description:    Fright Nights is set to re-open this year, after a few years without a home due to the closing of the Chevy Amphitheater in 2006. In 2009, Station Square re-opened its outdooor amphitheater. Fright Nights are under the direction of George Romero, best known for producing the film "Night of the Living Dead". There are many attractions to check out, including the "Night of the Living Dead" Farm House and Cemetery haunted walk thru, as well as the all new "Psycho Maze" and "Metamorphosis of Horror". There are also rides, side shows and a movie theater.

  Description:    This north hills attraction was closed in its original North Park location in 2006 due to a fire that destroyed part of the attraction, forcing it to close just as the season was getting underway. In 2007 this attraction was moved to nearby Wildwood Highlands. Last year it was closed, but they hoped to re-open in 2009. As of yet, not information either way. In its day, there were 3 buildings full of monsters and carefully designed special effects, along with a haunted maze and refreshment area.

  Description:    Hamilton School, on the corner of Grove Road and Route 88, was torn down several years ago as part of the new LRT subway project. This was the home of the "Haunted School" that ran every October for a dozen years or so. It was 3 floors and situated in an old, spooky 19th century school house - one of the best, no haunted house page in Pittsburgh would be complete without mentioning it!   Description:    It does not appear that Flatwood Productions is having Fright Fest this year, but it may return at some point. In the past there were two haunted attractions, each with its own admission price: the "Curfew Manor" and the "Curfew Cemetery". The attractions were based on the legend of Dr. John Malcolm Curfew, who built his home on the grounds over 200 years ago. The Fright Fest was based on a "Good Old-Fashioned Fright" philosophy, with little-to-no gore.
