Pittsburgh’s parks are some of the best places to celebrate America’s birthday. Thousands flock to pavilions for cookouts with friends, trails to walk and bike with families, and of course great lookouts to watch the annual city-shaking Fourth of July fireworks show.
Pack up a folding chair or blanket and visit our favorite park places for this once-a-year extravaganza! Fireworks begin at 9:30PM.
West End/Elliott Overlook
The West End/Elliott Overlook offers a panoramic view of the city with the Point at the very center. Here you have a clear view of the Allegheny River – and of course the fireworks!
Point State Park
Get right up in the action with this front-row seat. We’d suggest getting there early to stake out a spot since this is a very popular place to watch.
