WHAT: Italian Heritage Day
WHERE: Heinz History Center
WHEN: October 7, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get ready to eat, create, play — and practice exclaiming “Ciao!” — this Sunday at Italian Heritage Day.
Sample scrumptious Italian American recipes, trace your family tree and watch cooking demos by chefs from Vallozzi’s, Lidia’s, CFP Winemakers and WQED. Perfect your bocce skills, make crafts and peruse the Italian American Bazaar.
The festivities will also feature live entertainment by Edwardo the Accordionist, Marco Fiorante, San Rocco Festa Ballabe Band and I Campagnoli. Adults can test drive an Alfa Romeo and enter to win an exclusive “Italian Style Dine & Drive” experience.
Featuring and artifacts, archival materials and oral histories, the History Center’s Italian American Program is one of the largest in the country.
