Cutting a Christmas Tree at E-Mar Acres in Indiana County

We opted to go out and cut a Christmas Tree this year. It is something that we love to do and this year we had the chance to go out and do it. We did it in Indiana County, known as the Christmas Tree Capital of the World, at E-Mar Acres Tree Farm in Saltsburg. The farm has a nice selection of trees, ranging from tabletop size to over ten feet with species including Fraser Firs, Concolor Firs, and a number of other firs and spruces. Their pricing is also very good. Additionally, the workers at the farm are extremely nice and helpful.

Looking through the Concolor Firs….  hmmmmmmm…  Still looking…  Looking at the Frazer Firs for a second.  There are a number of smaller trees in the lower field of this variety.  Concolor it is! So many choices! This trio seems to have every size covered. Got it!

You can even make a weekend out of it with visiting nearby Indiana, PA, hometown of legendary actor Jimmy Stewart, and their It’s a Wonderful Life Festival. The Jimmy Stewart Museum is dedicated to his legacy. Additionally, there are a number of pretty covered bridges scattered around the county, and Levity Brewing is one of the finest craft breweries in the state. And the final product! We had a great time cutting our tree in Indiana County, the Christmas Tree Capital of the World, at E-Mar Acres. We highly recommend that you go and cut your tree with them, or with another local tree farm. Support local business with your holiday traditions.
