WHAT: Holiday Lights Opening Night
WHERE: Kennywood Park
WHEN: November 23, 5 – 9 p.m.
Why You Should Go:
Why deck the halls when you can deck the rides? There’s nothing quite like the charm of Kennywood after dark, when the lights of iconic rides like the Racer and Bayern Kurve set the park aglow.
Starting Friday, the National Historic Landmark will twinkle with two million lights, dazzling displays and holiday happenings. Don’t miss opening night featuring a ceremonial lighting of Pennsylvania’s tallest Christmas tree, spectacular fireworks and photos with Kris Kringle.
Watch “The Polar Express” in 4-D, write letters to the North Pole and hop on winter wonderland rides. The festivities will also include a celebrity reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” cookie decorating and holiday choirs.
