More information to come!

Old Economy Village is holding a food and supply drive for our neighbor, The Ladle, a local food pantry and soup kitchen that works out of St. John’s Lutheran Church, this year at Christmas at the Village.

THE LADLE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that was founded in 2005 to help the growing number of needy residents in the Ambridge area. Every Monday afternoon, a hot meal is served to approximately 80 to 100 hungry people. The guests include the elderly, young adults and families with children. Many of the guests are unemployed, homeless, lonely and economically unstable.

Steadily increasing attendance seems to suggest that, THE LADLE continues to serve as a critical safety net for Ambridge residents.

This drive will kick off during Christmas at the Village, December 2 & 3, and continue throughout the winter months!

This event was financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community & Economic Development.
