From high profile attractions such as Kennywood and Fallingwater to well-kept secrets such as the many country bed and breakfasts, this region truly has it all. One goal of swPenna.com is to act as a hub, a "one stop shop" to all that the region has to offer. Users can quickly search for the URL for a specific place, or browse through a collection of links to attractions in one particular area. There's more out there to do and see than you think! | ||||||

WHY ADVERTISE ON SWPENNA.COM? SwPenna.com's unique structure allows for easy navigation and exploration while not frustrating the user with excess information. This site is the only one in the area to categorize the information by local community. If you own a restaurant near Belle Vernon, it is better to be listed with other attractions in that area than grouped in and lost with those in Pittsburgh. Regional web sites have become one of the most popular types on the Internet. People want to have fun and enjoy themselves and are always looking for new ways to do so. Attractions such as the Carnegie Science Center and Laurel Caverns are always popular and growing. Seasonal fairs and festivals are always hugely popular. ADVERTISING OPTIONS AND RATES There are currently two ways to advertise on swPenna.com:
Banner Ads The placement of hyperlinked banner ads is an excellent way to promote your web site and recreational / historical attraction. Ads can be placed on our regional page or on location / category specific pages. This allows you to target your audience to the level that you see fit. Banner ads must be in one of two standard sizes: Large (468 X 60 pixels) or Small (180 X 50 pixels). Monthly rates vary with size and placement location. Banner exchanges are an excellent way to mutually promote both sites, typically at no cost to either party. Please email me if you are interested. Featured Links "Featured Links" appear on some on the community pages. These are also listed in the regular directory, but are displayed prominently with description on the community page itself. These can be identified by the yellow star next to them. Note that to keep the site focused, a Featured Link must point to one of the following: an attraction, a historic place, a restaurant or a place of lodging. I often choose which links to feature, but if you would like to swap links, I will place your link as a "Featured Link" in order to give you more exposure. Featured Events If you are looking to maximize exposure for your upcoming event, consider listing it on swPenna's index page. This is the 'home' page for the site amd is focused on the entire geographic area. Your event can be posted up to one month prior to the event's start date. Pricing for featuring an event on the index page is $15.00, and is based for an exposure time of one month. The price also includes a short description of your event. If your event is more local in nature, feel free to 'Post a Local Announcement' on the community page nearest you. There is no cost for this service. Just click here to locally list your event. Your announcement will automatically expire after the number of days that you specify.
