1.  Westmoreland Museum of American Art

The Westmoreland features paintings and sculptures by well known American artists and is all about the American Spirit. Tours and educational programs are ongoing throughout the year. There is also an extensive online collection of over 3,400 pieces of artwork, with a special emphasis on southwestern Pennsylvania exhibits.
 

2.  Historic Hanna's Town

Known for being the first English court west of the Alleghenies, Hanna's Town was founded in 1793 and today serves as a reconstructed frontier village, open to the public and active with tours and educational opportunities.
 

3.  Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra

Since 1969, the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra has been providing concerts and outreach to the Greensburg and surrounding areas. See what is happening this season at the WSO – a Chamber Music Series, Youth Orchestra Program, and special events with renowned musicians.
 

4.  Bushy Run Battlefield

Settlement in Western Pennsylvania exploded after August, 1763, because of the Battle of Bushy Run with a victory over the Native Americans. This site now features a visitor's center, guided and unguided tours, events and educational programs.
 

5.  The Palace Theater

If you are looking for some culture in the Greensburg area, make sure to see what is happening at the Palace Theatre. Known for being the home to the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, it also features the River City Brass Band as well as numerous concerts and shows.
 

6.  Shades of Death (Level Green, PA)

A well-known wooded area near Level Green, PA, one legend suggests that the area is haunted by man who committed suicide. Definitely spooky and creey at night, the area was popular for four-wheeling at one time. Wooded "patches" throughout the state seem to attract urban legends, usually based on a bit of truth that has has grown and been made larger than life as time passes…
